ECO CLUB

The club helps students to enrich their taste and knowledge about the natural world. The activities of the club combines in-class curriculum and outdoor training, helping students to learn more about ecology, forestry, soil & land use, wildlife, and current environmental issues. Various activities inter and intra school competitions are held from time to time. One Class- One Tree/ Plant mission, vegetable gardening, star gardening, beautification of the school campus etc are done enthusiastically by the students of this club.

To sensitize the students about the increasing environmental issues and to create awareness in them and to make them environment-friendly, the Eco –Club is functioning very effectively at Vimala Public School. The club is overseeing the ways and means to save resources and to maintain the premises as a plastic free zone. It is in the forefront to capitalize the solar energy. Organic farming and beautification of the school garden are some of its functions. The members of the club are very active in preparing environment-friendly products such as paper bags, carry bags, pen, ornaments and artificial bouquets from waste materials. This year, we have released a magazine on behalf of Eco club. An adventurous trip to Kaithapara Forest organized by Eco club has given us an evergreen reminiscence for the rest of our life.
